Help Guides
Your timetable already lives in WebUntis – there is no need to type it in again. With your personal calendar link from WebUntis, your lessons become lessons in your Context Grade calendar, ready for attendance, notes and grades. We never need your WebUntis password.
Sign in to WebUntis in your browser and open your Profile. Under Data access, click Publish the calendar. In the German interface these are called Freigaben and Kalender publizieren, and the exact names can differ slightly between WebUntis versions.
If the button is missing, your school has not switched calendar subscriptions on yet. Ask your school's WebUntis administrator to enable them for teachers.
WebUntis → Profile → Data access → Publish the calendarChoose the standard iCal format and copy the link. It starts with https:// and contains your school's webuntis.com address. Treat it like a password: anyone who has it can see your timetable.
Open the Calendar in the sidebar and click Sync & Export at the top. The Import your timetable from WebUntis section sits at the top of the window.
Calendar → Sync & ExportPaste the link into the box and click Preview. Context Grade reads the next twelve weeks of your timetable. A lesson that keeps coming back becomes a weekly lesson; cancelled lessons show up as called off.
For each class and subject from WebUntis, choose where it belongs: one of your classes, Use the same names (create if missing) – Context Grade then creates any missing classes and subjects – or Ignore (not my lesson), for example a cover lesson. Then click Import these lessons.
Preview → match → Import these lessonsYour lessons are now your own lessons in the calendar, linked to a class and subject – ready to record, take notes on and feed participation grades into the gradebook. Lessons you created yourself are never changed.
Your timetable is synced with WebUntis automatically every day, and Sync now fetches changes right away. When a lesson drops out of your WebUntis timetable it is ended, not deleted – recorded sessions, attendance and notes stay. Stop importing ends the sync; your imported lessons stay in the calendar as ordinary lessons.
